Grant Application

Since its inception in 1999, the La Vista Community Foundation has improved the lives of thousands of residents through its grant-making program. The Foundation's Board of Directors is knowledgeable about the community's many needs and is committed to making grants with those needs in mind. Grants are available in the fall and spring.

There are two ways to apply:

2. Click Here to complete the online application. When you have completed the online application, send an e-mail notification with the required PDF attachments to: aodorisio@leslieklinelukas.com

Applications are also available at La Vista City Hall and the La Vista Public Library. The deadline for returning completed grant applications is Friday, September 12 at noon.

Grant Scoring Guidelines

The Foundation scores grant applications by using the following guidelines:

Grants Awarded in 2008

City of La Vista ($1,750) Governance training for municipal elected officials. 

City of La Vista Recreation Department ($4,000) Two automated external defibrillators for the La Vista Recreation Center and La Vista Falls Golf Course.

Heartland Family Service ($2,000) Domestic abuse awareness and educational programming for students.

La Vista Fire Department ($1,750) Smoke and carbon monoxide detector installation in 150 residences.

La Vista Police Department ($5,675) New server to upgrade cruiser cameras with digital technology.

La Vista Public Library ($4,000) Enhancements and new educational materials for the Mary Louise Anderson Storytime Room.

Sarpy County Juvenile Drug Treatment Court ($500) Funds for youth to attend TRUST Course and UNO Hockey game.

Volunteers Assisting Seniors ($1,000) Medicare insurance counseling and assistance for seniors.
